R&D Chemist

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new formulations based on project goals and customer requirements.
• Conduct laboratory experiments, stability testing, and scale-up trials.
• Modify existing formulas to improve performance, shelf life, or cost-effectiveness.
• Document all research activities, maintain lab notebooks, and generate technical reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, manufacturing, regulatory, and marketing.
• Troubleshoot formulation and process challenges during development and production.
• Evaluate raw materials and maintain supplier relationships for new ingredient sourcing.
• Support pilot-scale production and transfer of products to manufacturing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in formulation development (industry-specific experience preferred).
• Hands-on experience with formulation techniques, laboratory instrumentation, and stability studies.
• Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards related to chemical products (e.g., GMP, GLP, FDA, etc.).
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
