Analytical Chemist

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist senior chemists and researchers in conducting experiments by preparing reagents, setting up equipment, and maintaining laboratory cleanliness and organization.
• Perform basic analytical techniques such as spectroscopy (UV-Vis, FTIR), chromatography (HPLC, GC), and wet chemistry to analyze samples and characterize chemical compounds.
• Record experimental procedures, observations, and results accurately in laboratory notebooks and electronic databases, ensuring data integrity and traceability.
• Assist in the synthesis and purification of small molecules and intermediates using standard laboratory techniques, under the guidance of experienced chemists.
• Participate in quality control activities to ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and other regulatory requirements, including proper documentation and adherence to safety protocols.
• Identify and troubleshoot experimental challenges and technical issues with guidance from senior team members, demonstrating problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.
• Collaborate effectively with team members from diverse backgrounds, including chemists, biologists, and engineers, to support multidisciplinary research projects and achieve common objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
• Strong academic background in chemistry, with coursework or laboratory experience in organic synthesis, analytical chemistry, and instrumental techniques.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and basic techniques such as pipetting, titration, and solution preparation.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols accurately.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Enthusiasm for learning and willingness to take on new challenges in a dynamic research environment.
