Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled and preventive maintenance tasks on production equipment.

• Document maintenance activities and submit reports to leadership as required.

• Respond promptly to maintenance service requests from production teams; assess the issue and determine the appropriate course of action.

• Conduct root cause analyses to identify underlying issues and recommend immediate or follow-up solutions.

• Assist in equipment efficiency initiatives and cost-reduction efforts.

• Diagnose equipment issues by observing machinery in operation.

• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic).

• Perform equipment changeovers in accordance with production scheduling needs.

• Promote uptime by educating production staff on preventive maintenance best practices and monitoring adherence.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.

• Ensure consistent communication across shifts and teams through documentation of activities and findings.

• Participate in cross-functional initiatives focused on continuous improvement.

• Perform other duties as needed in response to business demands.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of mechanical systems and techniques, including pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, robotics, and PLCs.

• Skilled in the use of both basic and advanced tools for mechanical applications.

• Strong collaboration skills; ability to work across departments to meet shared goals.

• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.

• Self-driven with minimal supervision required.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Associate degree in Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.

• Additional technical training or certifications are a plus.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic electrical troubleshooting experience.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
