Packaging Specialist
Job Overview:
The Packaging Specialist will be responsible for executing and monitoring pharmaceutical packaging operations in compliance with GMP and regulatory standards. This role ensures products are packaged accurately, safely, and efficiently while maintaining strict adherence to quality and safety requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, precision, and commitment to maintaining product integrity throughout the packaging process.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform packaging operations including labeling, sealing, and inspecting pharmaceutical products
Follow GMP-compliant procedures to ensure accuracy and product quality
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot packaging equipment
Conduct in-process checks and inspections to verify compliance with specifications
Accurately complete batch records and packaging documentation
Support line clearance, cleaning, and equipment setup activities
Collaborate with Quality and Production teams to resolve issues promptly
Report deviations, nonconformances, or equipment malfunctions
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for safety, efficiency, and compliance
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized packaging environment
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
Previous experience in pharmaceutical packaging or a GMP-regulated environment preferred
Knowledge of packaging operations, equipment, and quality standards
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Ability to identify and escalate issues quickly and accurately
Flexibility to work various shifts or schedules as needed
