Utilities Engineer

Indianapolis $45 - $55/HR Contract

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage startup and qualification of utility systems including WFI, clean steam, nitrogen, compressed air, HVAC, and chilled water.

  • Review engineering documentation, perform system walkdowns, and support protocol development (URS, IQ, OQ).

  • Partner with QA and Validation to ensure systems are audit-ready and meet regulatory expectations.

  • Troubleshoot utility issues impacting production and coordinate corrective actions with cross-functional teams.

  • Support reliability engineering programs, PM optimization, and energy efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, or Facilities Engineering.

  • 3–7 years of experience in utility system design, qualification, or maintenance in a regulated environment.

  • Hands-on experience with GMP clean utility systems and compliance to ISPE Baseline Guides and ASME standards.

  • Strong technical writing and collaboration skills.
