Training Specialist

Indianapolis $70,000 - $90,000 Permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine SOPs and training best practices to enhance team efficiency and performance.
  • Lead on-the-job training (OJT) efforts, including workflow analysis to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with production leadership to assess employee training records and implement targeted improvement plans.
  • Drive uptime by recommending methods to maximize equipment utilization and minimize downtime.
  • Support safety and compliance efforts by assisting in the development of preventative protocols.
  • Serve as a liaison between departments to ensure consistent communication and coordination.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to advance site-wide training strategies.
  • Contribute to risk assessment processes such as FMEAs to support continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate a strong leadership presence on the floor, guiding teams through change and promoting a high-performance culture.
  • Work flexible hours to ensure full training coverage across shifts.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience designing and delivering training programs in a GMP-regulated environment.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on OJT experience, particularly in visual inspection or packaging operations.
  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing principles, quality systems, and regulatory expectations.
  • Proficiency in developing training materials such as SOPs, training templates, and documentation.
  • Strong background in GMP compliance, EHS standards, and continuous improvement methodology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and coach diverse teams.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a high-paced, goal-driven environment.
  • Experience with technical training delivery and cross-departmental engagement is preferred.
