Senior Utilities Engineer

Job Description:

• Manage the operation, reliability, and compliance of utility systems including clean steam, WFI, HVAC, RO/DI water, compressed air, and electrical distribution
• Provide engineering support for troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, and optimization of utilities to support 24/7 manufacturing
• Lead or support capital projects related to utilities and infrastructure including design, equipment selection, and commissioning
• Review and approve P&IDs, utility layouts, validation protocols, and SOPs
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Facilities, Validation, and Quality to ensure system reliability and documentation integrity
• Assist with preparing for and participating in regulatory inspections and internal audits
• Ensure site compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations as they relate to utility systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in utilities/facilities engineering in a regulated GMP environment
• In-depth understanding of clean utilities, building management systems (BMS), and industry standards (ASHRAE, ISPE, etc.)
• Experience supporting pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing operations
• Strong project management and technical writing skills
