Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift
Job Overview:
The Production Supervisor will provide technical leadership and compliance oversight for visual inspection and packaging of sterile drug products. This role is responsible for leading a team of inspectors, developing inspection processes, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of GMP compliance, visual inspection, and packaging technologies, while fostering team capability and operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and leadership in the implementation and execution of the visual inspection program.
Train inspection operators and develop their skills to sustain inspection program performance.
Coordinate the development of visual inspection specifications to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
Establish and maintain processes and procedures to control visual inspection requirements.
Serve as subject matter expert in visual inspection, packaging technologies, and compliance standards.
Assure compliance with cGMP requirements across all inspection and packaging activities.
Lead a team of qualified inspectors and oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to support operational goals and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or applicable military service required.
Previous leadership experience required, with supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in process development, quality inspection, or pharmaceutical packaging.
Must pass health and vision checks, including annual eye inspections.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and processing.
Strong understanding of visual inspection and packaging requirements.
Familiarity with cGMP regulations, quality standards, and industry trends.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of statistics, process control, quality engineering, sampling requirements, and process capability.
