Associate Scientist

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute experiments utilizing pharmaceutical science and engineering techniques.
• Design and develop formulations for long-acting gastric release.
• Create polymeric matrices using processes such as hot melt extrusion, film deposition, spray coating, and spray drying.
• Characterize formulations by assessing chemical, physical, processing, and stability attributes.
• Apply chemical and mechanical principles to investigate and optimize formulations.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, process, and analytical teams.
• Communicate findings effectively within the organization.
• Prepare clear and detailed plans and reports for R&D programs.
• Engage in productive and collaborative discussions.
• Maintain accountability for data accuracy, communication, and timelines.
• Contribute to the discovery and development of novel approaches to control drug release and gastric residence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree with 1+ years of laboratory experience.
• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Knowledge of formulation, drug development, or pharmacology.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, following protocols with minimal supervision.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and deliver results with minimal direction.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines and adapt to evolving priorities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a strong desire to engage with colleagues, learn quickly, and grow professionally.
